So, I've really tried to refrain from posting about auditions just because I feel like I'd be posting entirely too much; buuuut I just got too excited. So, here we go:
Sidenote: I'm pretty sure no one reads this yet so I'll have to figure out a way to connect to the SYTYCD online community. Still new to the whole blog world if you couldn't tell.
I am SO loving Sammy Ramirez, a 19-year old from Hollister, CA. The bboys and poppers typically end up being some of my favorites to make it to the finale and from the ones I've seen, I never thought I'd be impressed again...
Dominic, Season 3 (ah, my first love)
Victor Kim (one of my fav auditions)
Ryan from Season 2 and Hok Konishi from Season 3 and all the Quest/6step guys
Robert Murane from Season 4 auditions (who can forget him?!)
Phillip (who's back this audition round, after pneumonia kept him from Vegas last year)
and GEV!

(and I would have even included Josh (winner of Season 4) in here but most of his videos have been pulled).
I didn't expect to be too impressed by anyone else after these guys above, but Sammy succeeded! He has a flavor all his own. His stops are probably the most spot on that I've ever seen. But more than any of that, he's got this charisma about him that makes him so likable! He's smile is infectious! What a cutie! He's a born entertainer, for sure. Doesn't really matter how good a popper/breaker/bboy you are, you gotta have that connection to the audience and entertainer/comedic quality. I love how Sammy even uses his eyes and hair in choreography. I really hope to see him in the top 20! (Along with Phillip). You know I love the bboys and poppers!
